do you know car audio or audio in general?

As the thead title says...do you know car audio or anything about about audio in general? I'm just curious what kind of stuff people know or enjoy about it on this board.

    Anyone brand loyal here?

i'm an audio freak... just dont have the budget to do so

as a side job in high school i did car audio installation. i still do it from time to time but there's just been other stuff going on.

aside from that, i'm a musician. have been for 8ish years now, and i consider myself to have a very trained ear - as far as spectrum as well as pitch recognition.

i can recognize and appreciate a good sound field and dispersion, as well as good clean power and a proper setup. i can also recognize and appreciate a very well-recorded piece of audio.

i don't know what else to say... it's rare that i've talked to anyone about my so-called sound fetish.

    what's your story?

ps as far as brand loyal, it goes out to alpine and eclipse for car electronics, a/d/s and cdt audio for speakers (not talking subs for the newbies)

    home stuff? B&W.

into all sorts, only thing i've bought to keep for my own future theater so far is a pair of very nice rhapsody speaker cables and a rotel rmb-1075 http://www.rotel.com/products/specs/rmb1075.htm

I'm very into audio as well. I've installed/uninstalled/reinstalled my own system many tiimes. I've also helped other people install systems, speakers, radio's etc. I'm actually getting ready to redo my sub set-up with custom boxes.

As for brand loyalty, I'm all about Clarion and Phoenix Gold.
