Thought I would share some pics my girl Sarah sent me from Afghanistan, pics my be large, but I don't know how to shrink them... so deal with it... I have known Sarah since I was in kindergarten... we both went into the military around the same timeframe... she's still in because her unit got deployed right before it was her time to get out of the military... I miss her tons...
first pic is of a place they lounge out in, they can't drink alcohol there... only the other international military people can, but they go there to chill and chit chat...
This pic is of her with this chicken doll someone girlfriend sent to some guy over there, they use stuff like this for decoration... haha...
Sarah got to sit on a camel the other day... a rare moment of fun while she is on liberty...

^ Hey yeah, Sarah works in a compound where there are branches of military from all over the world... but that flag is not from Korean Troops... it was actually Sarah's contribution to the decor... she had just been on a deployment to Korea a few months prior to being shipped to Afghanistan... sorry guys!
Darn, hoping to see more of a group pic since my little brother is over there right now being an "Army of One"(Bagram, Afghanistan).
And coincidentally he was in S.Korea right before this also. Is she from Illinois?
Maybe they know each other.....Donald Boardman is his name.
edit: coincidentally he was also serving in Japan for 3 years before that.....but don't think you would've run into him Eclipschic77 (+he was born exactly 2 weeks after you!)

LOL I was in Korea for a year back in 97-98 and i got a flag from there two. i didnt take it with me though. I did get a iraqi flag
Hey James... I'll ask Sarah if she's heard of your friend, what is a MOS/job? She is also in Bagram... she is from Illinois, but her unit is out of Hawaii, her job over there is basically certifying death certificates... and unfortunately they had a solider commit suicide there Sunday morning...such a sad sad thing... the solider was supposed to have gone home in one month too.Can you imagine having to do that for your job for 18 months? Certifying death certificates?! Kinda depressing... she amazes me with her upbeat personality though.
