| I try to stay away from PS also unless I'm working with RAW. It takes away from photography, but I realize this is digital photography. I only use it to sharpen, and auto levels.

| What settings are you guys using right now? You can say I am to lazy to edit my pictures, but for now I will leave the picture as is.
I am really intrested in seeing the pictures coming from that lense!
I will be getting the Canon 50mm f/1.8 prime soon and then I plan on getting the Tamron 28-75 f.28. I also need to get a flash, probably the Sigma EF-500 DG Super.

| Usually, I take the first picture with ISO100, AWB and with P mode. I review the picture, and make changes accordingly from there. Usually, I end up taking 5 ~ 10 shots of the same thing with different settings and, seldom, parameters. For night shots, I add exposure bracketing mode on top of that.
EDIT: Av or Tv

| Nah, it's the same lens; but one's fully extended at 300mm focal point.
Hey, teach me how to do the frame again. I re-read your PM a couple time, and I still don't get how to do it.

| ok thanks... pickin one up today (if I can deal with the cost)
open a new blank (transparent) document.
use the rectangular marquee tool
select the size you want your frame
select -> inverse
fill it with whatever you want, and if you want it to look soft, increase the "feather" amount. I use 3
select -> deselect (CTRL-D)
Layer -> merge down
then write your © shit on there (remember ALT + 0169 will give you ---> © )
Repeat process using a different size rectangle, different fill color... there is a better way of doing it, but I can't find the tutorial. I'll get back to you on that.

So there are 2 more local stores, I'm gonna go see what I can do. Plus I'm getting a tripod and a camera bag.

| APO for $139? Never! Make sure you double check with them. Street price for the non-APO is about $139. $129 on www.jr.com right now. I'd be very weary.
What store did you go to? Some older Sigma lenses needed to be re-chipped before it can be used on D-SLR, so make sure it's not an old stock model. Maybe that's why it's so cheap?

Maybe that's why it's so cheap? | That's probably it... because he was saying it was "older"... which blows because it looks WAY cooler than the Quantaray, which DOES work on my camera. I'm thinking I could just get that one, it's the same thing, made by Sigma anyway.
EDIT: I go to Wolf Camera.

| it's tough to stabilize when it's zoomed in far... but it's still a good picture. I had to get a smaller bag because I want to be able to carry it when I take pictures at DnB shows... and I won't be using the 300mm for that... I guess I could still get a bigger bag for when I go out shooting, then I can carry all my shit. Stash looks good, haus!
