If its going to take that long why not just say it. Never received any calls from them. Had to call... Kinda crappy.

they do custom body work...so i am sure they are always backed up...maybe they meant to say it would take three days when they get to it.

that seems to be the case witht the body shops i've been too. i've dealt alot with sterling autobody in crystal lake - they did all the body work for the 3 accidents the Caprice has been involved in and they all turned out great.

i just need to get the rest of the car that they didnt touch re-painted. its fish-eyed on the roof and peeling on the doors/trunk. not to mention the rust on the drivers kick plate (only rust on car)

body werks is the sux. usually when you take your car in for work, by the time you pick it up you'll have saved enough for a new car....

Are you talking about Body Werks in Skokie?

Few years ago I took my car there to get some insurance work. It took them extra two weeks to fix it, but then I had to take my car back in for another two weeks. That is however not what I am so upset about.

They repainted the bumper but it was lighter on one side. Then when they were taking off the bumper they ripped off the license plate lights. To this day I have "rear light out" light on my dash and nobody (lexus dealer and another body shop) knows whats wrong with that light because all the lights work fine. The second time they replainted it there was also some scratches on the newly painted bumper.

I complained to the insurance company and ended up going to Boyce Body Werks. Not only did they do a great job but they also did some extra stuff for free.

I know many other unhappy customers of that place, but I will leave the complains to them.

Chris

this is the exact truth right here....
prior to being a "vip" customer... my car always took months...

now i am as he says "VIP"... larry shaved my antenna, my sidemarkers, fixed all my dings and dents, and detailed my car with no additional charge (for real, final price was lower than the estimate and he threw all that in)
car was done in 12 days (he quoted 14) and it was absolutely perfect

edit**
as im posting this, i just realized, my car was in the shop same time as yours, so im sorry but he might have bumped yours in order to finish mine in time...
sorry
