Somebody said somewhere a long the way something about getting a student discount at the apple stores. I'm supposed to be getting an early birthday present from my parents, and they said they would be me an iPod. They were thinking about getting me a mini, but i prefer the somewhat larger regular one. Would I be able to get a discount at the apple store in San Francisco if I'm going to be a senior in High School? It might make all the difference to my parents if I can get the better one for cheaper.

well it says its $229 for the ipod mini for the 6 giger and $179 for the 4 giger. tho i didnt see an option for high school students to input there school to the get discount. im pretty sure they will give you the discount if you ask. tho if you could get someone who is in college to order it for you, you can get it engraved for free and free shipping. but thats only if you want it engraved. im thinking the free engraving is a good thing if someone jacks it. you can prove its yours. also if someone else happens to have the same color the engraving tells you which one is yous. but just a thought.

i did the student thing, $229 for the first Minis but then they added tax and it ended up going back to $250, better than no discount at all actually
