What you want is all you'll get, but you've found nothing as of yet.
Things I need to say just seem to get in my way.
You trust and confide but you want to run and try to hide.
What if the answers I say are only meant to betray?
Numbness as I try to speak. Silence comes as I am far too weak.
Numbness filling my heart. Confusion is wrenching me apart.
Numbness is where I belong. Love will sing its sorrowed song.
Numbness cutting the ties. Fear bonding the lies.
Forever on the outside looking in while I sit and wait for something to begin.
You can cut me down to size and show me whats inside.
Night is approaching while the cold is encroaching.
Fight as I may, I just cant stay away.
Why cant you see what I want for you? What more must I do?
Numbness forming the wall. Faith waiting for the fall.
Numbness finding the line. Doubt showing me what is mine.
Numbness is my only company. Blindness strikes as I try to see.
Numbness at my sides as I try to fade. Emptiness in these eyes when I turn away.
