| Lotus Exige S Lotus Exige S adds supercharger
From these pictures, the new Exige S looks no different from the existing Exige, apart from a centrally located oval exhaust. In fact, it adopts a supercharged engine derived from the track car 240R - base on the Toyota 1.8 VVTL-i engine, added a Roots type supercharger to boost output to 218 hp at 7800 rpm (up from 190hp) and 159 lbft (from 133 lbft). As a result, performance improved to 148 mph and 0-60 in 4.1 sec.
Unlike the limited edition 240R, the Exige S is a production car and fully type approved for sold in EU countries and Asia countries. However, it won't be available to the US. |

28 hp and 26 lb/ft
prolly only runs like 6-10 PSI
roots arent that efficient, but they do provide great low end torque |

| Yeah it only gains like 20something horsepower but in a 1900lb car thats a hell of a power to weight ratio hence a hell of a performance gain. The regular lotus elise with 190hp runs like a 13.1 in the quarter. That thing is bad ASS! |
