| Health Clubs I was just wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for Health Clubs. I have heard good things about Ballys but I wanted to here peoples personal experiances. Since I have been to the doctor two weeks ago, He told me my little out of shape ass needs to excersise more, SO I have been interested in getting a membership somewhere.
Please do not tell me about Lifetime Fitness though. I live no where near one.
Thanks.

| My friend did a trial at Bally's for a certain number of days, but what she didn't read in the contract is that she had to go at least 10 times during the trial, and she only went 9. So she HAD to sign up for 2 years for $40 a month! |

| I get a discount at Gold's Gym, Bally's, and I think a few others. I've been thinking about going there, but I don't know. I've heard some decent things about bally's, and I hear Xsport is pretty good. Xsport is also a 24 hour place. |

| I have a membership at x-sport, and I love it. I go to one of the smaller ones, just weights and treadmills, no basketball courts etc. But thats all I want, and its cheaper...

| Anyone use Harper College's Fitness Center? Is 165/year a good deal? What's your overall experience?
I wanted to see how much Prairie Stone Sports and Wellness Center was but they don't have their rates posted online, anyone go there? What's your overall experience.
Looking for a not so packed gym, not looking for anything fancy at all. I went to Athletico on archer near Midway a few times since my girlfriend works there, I like the setup they have and its not too crowded but its way too far for me .

| I used to go to the XSport in Darien when I lived down in that area. Now I just go to the Clubhouse in my apartment complex.
Chris ~ I haven't personally been to Prairie Stone but when I worked at the Marriott in Hoffman Estates, we would send people there all the time to work out or to use their spa. They would come back ranting and raving and have yet to hear anything bad outta that place. |
