| Meh. It would be easier for me... but still Meh. I hate the city. Unless everyone wants to go bowling or something, where parking is free, there really isn't much to do cause you have to pay out of the ass for parking lots. Esp downtown. Downtown is horrible on parking

| it is a good idea, but like everyone says...paying for parking is a nightmare unles others can come up with locations that wont charge for parking...

| just park near a train station in the neighborhood area. and walk to the train station and take the train downtown. my sister used to do that when she worked downtown. this way she didnt have to pay the train station's parking fees which is usually like $1.50 to $3. and i suggest the orange line. when i lived in chicago and had to go downtown we took orange line. and when we had hit downtown jumped on buses to get where ever we needed to go or walked. if the train stop wasnt near where we had to go. |

This is definately something I would have to get authorization on from the general manager but I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. What do you think? |

There is a bowling ally on Western and Addison... Waveland Bowl that has free parking, decent prices and fast food places all around it but here is the other problem...People won't drive out to the city but everyone expects city people to drive out to the burbs. I think it should work both ways.

Cta raised their prices again and they want everyone to purchase CTA cards, They don't issue transfers anymore to ride.

| This topic has been brought to CV attention a few times. The result? It never happens. If anything, a few members that resides in Chicago or really nearby Chicago ends up getting together for something small. A great % of active (even non-active) CV members are from the Suburbs; majority wins. There are a few members that are afraid, concerned about driving to "the city" believing their car is going to get stolen, damaged, into an accident, and or lost in a 'ghetto' neighborhood since they are not familiar with the driving style and Chicago neighborhoods.
I know of at least one car website that had meet by the lake in Chicago. They met up on the weekend and really early in the morning to take as many spots as possible. CV would never be on time, mainly early in the morning. |

| I would be down for what ever. City or not. My causin goes with his girfriend and a few of her friends to the city. They meet some where and then take the metra downtown. Then walk to a couple of bars get drunk, rent a hotel then wake up go home. That sounds like fun. |

| I work at Waveland Bowling Alley as a mechanic if people would like to plan a meet there I would be glad to try and get something set up. We have 40 lanes, pool tables, an arcade, Alley Dogs (which has great food) and We have a bar. Parking is free of course and we are located on western Ave between Irving and Addison right by Lane Tech
Let me know what you guys think |
