Street Racing in IL (Undercover Exposé)

If you guys haven't heard, i thought i might just post this up. Got this from another forum.

I got this e-mail from the ADMIN of ChiTownHp. Sticky This?

K guys, since we know the bidness...NBC along with thier cohoarts Telemundo as well as Univision are attempting an undercover Sweeps piece on Street Racing...

Now you know how that is gonna make us look, believe me as someone with expirience in the industry. Those who know me, know just what type of expirience although I will not get into that on here or elsewhere for that matter. (you gys that know dont say shit either)

This is RIGHT before the season starts and gives ALL the new politicians ammunition to start with a campaign to makes new laws like the ones in cali and shit....having this video will give them that ammunition....and start a hyteria in the media and city hall as well as springfield.

DO NOT RACE in front of them, try not to even be in the lots when you see them as they will contact the stores or property owners and ask them if they gave you all permission to be there...they will obviously say no, and since they dont want to be aiding street racers (thats how the news and cops will put it) you will NO LONGER have a place to hang out at, you definately wont be able to race.

This is a producer and ratings driven market people, the worse that can make the issue look, the more attention, the more ratings....be smart, dont give in to wanting to be on TV, they aint scandalous like us, they aint gonna blur your plates, they dont give a fuck about you...you are assholes to them and they will make sure that you not only get fucked, but fuck the community....

Be careful of folks out there that you dont know shooting video especially with a big Pro camera, pro DVcams (like ours) and look for jeeps, minivans, vans, explorers, expidition with small unit numbers on them (usually in the back by the windows you will see small number like 7 or 14....look for them to be shooting your plates and following in the distance....especially if no one can vouch for them....loose them or just ask them why are you here shooting video of us, they must advise you that they are media....please be careful of these fucking vultures and save us the shit from new laws and stupid fuck politicians trying to make thier careers on our backs.

and look inside these "parked" vehicles for communication equipment and communication antenas....

guys, once more, this is real and you will get fucked, if the reporters ask to speak with you, tell them to get fucked...this is public domain on the street so they can shoot you on video and your cars, its all legit.....so act civil but tell them to get fucked, dont let them shoot you doing burnouts and shit like that......

yes, this is here in chicago

haha... i don't care. if they want to film me in a parking lot socializing with other people they can go ahead. i do that at work and on the weekends too if they like. the street racing scene is dead and will be gone and buried once the new F&F movie is released. they should do some undercover footage of AutoX... i'm sure they can find a way to make that look illegal.

crazuM3-When the new F&F movie comes out, yea street racing will be dead. But now we will have kids who think they know what there doing and end up wraping there cars around trees/polls..Cause i mean they don't have slicks so there drifting is going to suck (watch the F&F 3 trailer you'll get what i mean)

We live in IL guys, every thing we do is Illegal basicly.

the street racing scene will never die...has been going on since the early 50's bub...just got way too big when it came down to certain stupid asshole movies came out...and these idiots that dont know how to drive came out and drove like retards hitting and killing people....responsable streetracers go to iscolated locations with only a handful of people to verify who one and then race...its the shitheads going with 500 people to watch 2 20 second imports/domestics go down the road is what causes the issues...or racing on busy crowded streets.....those are the ones ruining for everyone...

Exactly!
So my point is, go about your daily business - keep going to meets and showing up and parking lots and just don't worry about it. We're not street racing, and apparently the "REAL" street racers already know not to run. Doesn't sound like they're getting any footage unless they splice in some clips of Paul Walker.

I beg to differ. I really think that HERE, the scene is dead. Perhaps not in the heart of Chicago, where there's a lot of places to do it quietly and the cops don't care. But do it anywhere 15 minutes out from the city or more, and you're screwed. Even if it looks like you might do it, you're screwed. The cops out here have put such a lockdown on the whole thing, I think the scene's going to be MIA for quite some time. I don't mind, I realized a long time ago that racing in the daylight with a lot of people and legally is much more fun anyway.

Cars are my life, This may sound pathetic but I lost a friend cause me and him faught about the STi..long story short He woudnt belive me that an STi can get 450hp+ easy.

But i woudnt hate theses movies so bad if they didnt put falls info in them..Like int he trailer for F&F3 "The cars are lighter The tires are Slicks" Yea, cause no treads will help you, even thoe the slicks will just Stick the damn ground when they heat up.

I'm soo glad i can see this movie for free.-any one with me?

BTW..I'm standing down on the 'drifting on slicks'.... Check me on this unless I'm missing something...'slicks' are 'not good' for drifting. Unless of course such 'slicks' are hard as rocks and dont stick.. <shrug>...
Drifting.. I dont get it...

actually, most drift cars use fairly stickey tires. You gotta have stickey tires to regain control. And most drift cars have enough power to spin them like nothing once you break traction.

Street racing has been dead since that movie debuted the very first time, ruined it all.

no, it isnt dead. please read.

it just gave the import crowd balls and created more morons to ruin shit (and before import guys cry and bitch i know their are many rice burners out their that will kill my car not saying that).

in the aspect of the 40 cars at one place racing right infront of you type of deal like s*ony island for instance may be dead.

the person who makes street racing what it is, is the person doing it. take your car out with the intention on racing, dont even go to the bigtime "street racer hangouts", run around the local streets and find some yutz in a lid and cutout ls1, or 5.0 or something like that and offer him a race. the way it was done back in the day. run around and randomly find a race. take that race to a NICE SECLUDED ROAD LATE AT NIGHT, do not play on city streets, and look at that street racing is alive for that one individual who doesnt waste his time sitting in a parking listning to whining and crying.
