WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressional Republicans and Democrats demanded answers from the Bush administration Thursday about a government spy agency secretly collecting records of ordinary Americans' phone calls to build a database of every call made within the country.

| Next time I make a call, I'll have to throw in, "Are the explosives ready for when we blow up the sears tower in two weeks?"
See what happens

| I'm not sure, but I don't think they are recording the calls, I think they are just keeping track of whom you call, location, call time and length. Maybe on those that are superbly suspicious they might track it down.
If I'm correct, the government is also fighting against GOOGLE in trying to get the company to turn in the database with a detailed log of the searches people made/make. Some search engine companies already released their database.
It's kind of hideous. |
