| It is good that they killed him, but there is someone already there to replace him. Now we wait and see what they do for retaliation. |

| It only took a 1,000lbs in bombs to kill him.... hmmm
I don't see how they would have gotten a picture of him in one piece if he was hit with bombs anyways. They might as well just took a picture of a black burn mark on the earth because depending on what kind of bomb they used, he would have been vaporized along with everyone else.

| I don't care if it's staged or not. I hope it gets used to start giving Americans the warm and fuzzy feeling so we can pull out of there ASAP, sooner rather than later. |

I don't think that there's a whole lot else we can do there that we should be doing there and I want my cousin to come home.

| i'm sure this is a pretty big deal, but eliminating one guy at the top doesn't seem like it'll solve much in that country. there'll still be suicide bombings and random gunfights breaking out in the middle of their cities. the "terrorism" in iraq seems to be something independently encouraged - in other words, if some dumbass feels like blowing himself up one day, he'll strap on a few sticks and walk into traffic.
i'd say, if anything, this guy being gone might make us slightly safer here, since it's one less person to plan international attacks.

| well.. im sure there are maniacs that will replace him or have been already replaced but the sheer fact that he was the leader of al-qaida movement at one point and terrorized many civilians with the beheading.. I condemn the American forces and Iraqi forces to kill this bastard |

The more of them that get killed at the top the less people there are to plan organized attacks against our forces there. I don't care if they all kill each other, all I want is for our boys to come home alive.

| This could easily be a Psy play to get them fighting amongst themselves and worried about the knife in the back, not knowing who to trust. |

| Funny how he WAS STILL ALIVE after two 500lb bombs.
Iraq is the same as it ever was.
Except for the retaliatory kidnapping/murdering of two soldiers, eh.
It can only get better. Oh wait, it probably won't.....for a long long time. |
