Next time someone plans a large meet, they chould consider the parking lot by TGI Fridays over there. It is huge, and no hassling by cops.
| Not necessarily; cops drive around there frequently (all the way down that side street where the car wash is to way behind Friday's) because Woodfield Gardens is behind there; and that's not always the most spiffy area. |

| Just My Opinion... But next time you plan a meet, maybe you should try to get permission from a place big enough to hold the large amount of cars you're expecting. It is my experience that when you approach a buisness like a restaurant or something, usually they see it as a chance to make money and will tend to let you use a portion of their lot or adjacent lot for your meet. You might also want to try to get permission from the village. A permit fee is a small price to pay to avoid what happened yesterday. Cops are cops and they love a chance to fuck with people. So...next time try these ideas. It might make for a good time that will last longer than a half an hour. Not to mention the mass confusion of the mass exit. B.A.D.

| Well then, I guess we're just screwed
Maybe we should do it in the city? There are tons of industrial areas that are completely abandoned on the weekends. Cops in the city have muggings and things to worry about, not car meets. I'll keep my eye open for a good place. |

| Hmm I wonder if they would allow meets at college campus?
Given this weekend was easter the entire lot is empty, but im sure some colleges like Harper has some space? |

| As far as a college campus, all I can say is ask. I would think any school that has an auto program would be very interested in putting on a meet or show. UTI has an annual race at Byron which counts towards their grade. So...why not a show??? Check into it. B.A.D.

| Re: Just My Opinion... College campus is considered private property and cops will bust us as soon as they see a car going in when school campus is closed. I think hosting a car show/meet at a college campus parking lot is a good idea, but good luck trying to get the permission for it.
Actually, I can TRY, I'M NOT SAYING IT WILL HAPPEN, but I can TRY since I have connections to some of the big heads at harper!! | OK, i found out that the myikonboard.com is still in its beta stages, so what i did to make mine work is select the box that says "Track session without cookie" and it should work, otherwise, keep logging in until it works with the box checked... Sorry for the inconveniance, and it is in the category called local... |
