some new civic ex vs an impala SS

hey i know my car isnt the shiz niz ok but a civic just shouldnt race me.

Pulled up at plumb grove and higgans, civic turns on to higgans and i follow. Black with window tinits and some decals on the sides. sure why not. meet him at higgans and meacham. he revs i rev. light goes green we race. Most civics and 4 door imports for that matter have a problem keeping up but he had some stuff done. he hits second and i pull away and then he catches up at high rpms in second. he lost me everytime he shifted. we get to higgans and martingale and he rolls down his window and looks at the SS decals on the side and says damn...never should raced u if i payed attention to your car.

o well good race...back to eating lunch...peace out *FATTY!

imo SS's are the shit. Those things have the lt1 right? i think its 260bhp but tested at 200. i plan on getting one sooner or later.

his impala is a 2000, but yeah those older 96 impala have the lt1's in them and they are rated at 260 for atleast everysite that i check into. 94-96 impala and the same year caprice cop cars have the same lt1. the only difference between the caprice cop and the impala is that the impala has leather seats and the caprice has better handling. striaght line there the same.

I was just wondering because he said that his impala was an SS. They stopped making an SS in 96.

no, they actully restarted them up in 2000. the 2000 only has a body kit will the 01 and 02, 03 are a little faster then the stock impala.

NO, actually they did stopped making the SS in 96. I know cause I used to own one, and my friend owns a 2000 Impala and they did not offer an SS that year. They will start making them, however, either this year or 04 models again. So if his car has SS on it, then he put that on there.

the new SS, the 04 model, will have the same eaton roots type supercharger as the GTP does.

yea they do im the one who onws it look at the post with the grand prix and 200 impala SS ull find the link to it. It has to be custom ordered from gm

Ok,...but its only a body kit. so I was right, you put the ss on there. Oh excuse me, GM did. So its still not a true SS car. Its an LS with SS badging. So basically your car is a fake. But the true SS will be out in 04. I don't know how you drive around with fake decals, or bodykit.

engine stuff..like compression and air fuel is different making it run faster
