need free space?

i have a 72gb raptor for my primary hard drive, seems like i keep running out of space. at first i thought it was because i allocated 3gb fixed for the virtual memory, i sized it down to 1gb now i have the problem again. the thing is, i don't have that much on here - so i'm really confused. deleted all temp internet files, even went to
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ to make sure shit was gone (it's sometimes left) - all i see are a few cookies. i have show hidden folders enabled too. anyway i finally went and got this program http://www.sb-software.com/visdir/ which shows where all your space is being taken up. in a folder you can't see unless you explicitly go there, C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 - i have 47GB of shit! windows dunno why you can't see or clean this shit out but i am deleting the hell out of it right now. you might want to check yours as well.

You should defintely look into one of those maintenance programs i.e. SuperCleaner. I run it once a week on my OS drive (also WD740GD) and see a lot of crap build up every so often.

so just an update, my box0r did stop freaking out. safe mode and rmdir /r /s temporary internet files (took a while) but did the job - then i just recreated the directory (it's a system directory) and rebooted and was fine. and had 45gb, which is absolutely rediculous really.
