Anyone Heard Of This Company?

WireCracker

Apparently, they pay your ETF from cell-phone providers and you pay them $50. Anyone used them before or do you think this is just one big scam?

I doubt it, but then again, other sites like hotwire and orbitz do that kinda thing. So I suppose it's possible. I still think scam though.

I really don't know what to think of that, if it's legit or not.

My first instinct, it sounds real fishy. I probably wouldn't do it, considering you're risking eating the cost of a cancellation fee, PLUS they want to sign you up with a new contract through them. You don't know what kinds of terms and requirements they'll want out of you.

It just makes me think of those shady companies who suck people in with no credit and/or little money, and bust them with hidden fees or APRs ("take over payment" companies, "cash in a flash," title loans).
