NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Quote:
In most cases, dishwashing soap is the worst thing to wash your vehicle with. Because dishwashing soap is loaded with grease-cutting agents formulated to get your frying pan sparkling clean, it also removes any good oils and waxes from paint surfaces. After washing your car with dishwashing soap, your paint is wide open for damage from a variety of contaminants with no layer of wax to protect it.

There are rare cases where spot washing with dishwashing soap is acceptable. These include repairing small scratches and abrasions, removing thick stains from sap and repairing bird dropping spots. Always re-wax any area you’ve washed with dishwashing soap, and only use dishwashing soap when specifically directed.

The only time you use dishwash soap to wash your car is if you want to remove old wax off your car and you want to put on a new coat of wax on.

actually, i think jay just did a +1 for no and a -1 for yes. i don't think there's a way of physically changing your vote.

right, and this morning, your vote for yes still isn't being counted. there are 3 people who supposedly voted yes, but only 2 votes for yes. on the other hand, there are 6 votes for no, and only 5 people listed. we can fudge the numbers, but we can't actually change where your name is listed.

Same as stated... for that deep down clean after which you plan on doing that infrequent heavy duty new wax job.

So my votes go for both, it just depends what you are going to do after washing your car.

If you have previously detailed your car, but want to strip all the wax off COMPLETELY, use dishwashing soap. Otherwise
