go to Lucky's Auto Detail and get it steam cleaned

nothing's wrong with powerwashing as long as you cover up the battery and the alternator...

And the airbox, spark plug wires, distributor or coil pack etc.. etc.. There is more to cover then just the battery and alternator. You don't want water getting shoved into anything electrical at a high rate of speed.

It's perfectly safe with any car out of the factory.

If you went and modified things, then I wouldn't suggest it.

i know a way to get everything looking brand new...

Step One...
Pull engine

Step Two...
Paint engine bay

Step Tree...
Degrease engine with "Engine Brite"

Step Four...
Paint engine with high temp engine enamel

Step Five...
Polish all aluminum... chrome all steel... paint all remaining plastic

Step 6...
Put it all back together

entire process took about 20 hrs and cost about $50
