wtf touchpad prob

This is a discussion on wtf touchpad prob within the The Lounge forum part of the General Discussion category; i get this everyonce and a while on my Gateway Laptop anyone know what this is?...

It sounds like some of the advanced features of your touchpad have been disabled because you have plugged in another pointing device (mouse).

Whenever I had to deal with Synaptics touchpad driving crap, I immediately uninstall it. I don't notice any "extra" features lost with it anyway...

nothing IS plugged in..
so i could just install the driver?
