| Canon EOS digital Rebel XT 30sec shutter Actual Aperture Unknown between 40-45mm focal point
ISO 400
Pretty sure thats what they were set at. at the time of a majority of the highway shots. Although I'm quite the beginner so I may be mistaken.

one thing to keep in mind, you do not have to have 30sec shutter speeds to get the same effect.
if you look at photo #8, and photo #3
photo 8 was taken @ 6 seconds, and photo 3 was taken @ 30 seconds.
you get the same effect for both shutter speeds. BUT the thing about long exposures is that it really kills battery life.
im sure you were fine for the night. but i would suggest trying to keep the shutter speeds under 10 secs. there is going to be a night where you forgot your spair battery, and you forgot to charge the one in your camera(we all have done it)
but as i said earlier, this is why its good to study your photos afterwards. all you have to do is
right click over the photo file,
"properties"
"Summary"
"advance"
Youll get to see some of your EXIF data.
but once again, its always a good habit of preserving battery life
if you have any other questions, hit me up
