barely runs? oh please The heatwrap was brand new so that's why it was smoking so much, had to break it in. I've already done some cosmetic things to it. Next thing I want is a single sided swing arm, but that'll have to wait until next year I think.

The state class is free, they give you a helmet, they pay for the gas for the bikes, it's on a large safe enclosed parking lot, all YOU gotta do is show up and want to ride a motorcycle all day!! There's a $20 fee to register and that is even refundable at the end of the course. But after the experience you'll just end up letting them keep it as a donation.

Going to the private school RideChicago would cost about $300-$400 and you would still have to go to the secretary of state and use a friends bike to pass the riding test or pay another $50 to RideChicago to use their bikes and they'd have a state rep come out to the school and test you.

I'd encourage anyone to have some fun one weekend this summer and learn how to ride.

if you do the Motorcycle Safety Course then good luck getting into it. The best way is log onto the NIU website (do a google search or even a search on here because i know it has been posted before) and wait around midnight the night before regestrations open for the area you wish. Once midnight hits, hurry up and sign up because it fills THAT fast.

but its all top end, a 600 SUCKS around town after a liter bike, even compared to my old junk.

I have an 88 FZR1000, stage 1 jet kit, header, supertrap, R1 MC and front brakes.

I have almost all of my 04-06 Tail Conversion. Wanna grab stock exhaust to shove under there too...........

My research has the 2005 Zx-6r with just a little more horsepower at a HELLUVA lot more rpm than my 1999 ZRX1100. And it has an ungodly deficit in as much peak torque.

Even with the weight savings, it is still SLOWER in the 1/4 mile, lol.

But hey, they're both Kawasaki's so it's all good in the family- just built for different riders.

seriously...dont get a single sided swing...with the power that bike prolly generates...it would be too much for it...i know a shop in streamwood that has a dyno if ya wanna use it...im thinkin about taking my bike when it gets warm out...also want to take mine to the 1/4 miler track in byron...u interested in going?

that's exactly what I'm going to be! Don't get me wrong, I bought it because of the power, but at the same time how often will I use it. I don't want to invest the money to compete with the big guys out there so I'll just keep it under 300hp and do some cosmetic stuff to it and let it be. I never intended it to be a daily driver. That's what the Ninja is for. I want to track it but to be honest I'm not used to the spooling of the turbo yet. Maybe later in the year (and after an extended swing arm). We'll see. Here's a pic of it btw....
