Timing belt lose

Ok so just like the topic says, i believe my timing belts a bit loser then it should be. I have a b18a1 dohc integra and i dont have the top cover on my timing belt and i can see the belt kind of show some play, im thinkin i need a new tensioner. If you guys can think of anything else id appricate the help. O and it was fine about a week ago.

how long ago was it that you replaced it just to make sure that it doesnt need a replacement?

Well i got the motor from another teg owner and he had put a new timing belt and water pump and supposedley a tensioner but it was about 5000 miles ago

You know, I saw something exactly like this in a Honda tuning mag. I think it's the one at my work righ now. I will look at it tomorrow.

How much play is there in the belt? There should be a little play, its not going to have no play at all. Also check to make sure your tensioner is tight, he may not have torqued the bolt down enough.

well before the belt had perfect slack not to lose not to tight it was perfect, now its pretty lose. I just dont wanna run the risk of it jumpin teeth on my cam gears or ect. and i know its torqued right, 40flbs so i donno guess its time for a new 1
