Chicago_DSM joins CV!

Ha, what's up everybody

My name's Josh, I know a lot of people in the chicago scene but if you don't know me, Hey! If you do know me, you probably have talked to me or seen me on dsmtalk, midweststreets, chitownracing or most likely in person as I am very social....

Im 16, I go to Stevenson High school and live in Buffalo Grove....

I drive (drove) a 91 Talon Tsi AWD....I totaled it 3 weeks ago during the icestorm we suffered...I lost control when I hit an ice patch and the car ended up sliding off road, hitting a ditch and rolling 4-5 times landing on it's roof...

It was a depressing day, especially if you knew me or the car....Some background info:

I bought the 1g with only 72,000 original MILES!! The car was DEFINITELY one of the cleanest dsm's in chicago, anyone who knew the car could swear to that! Bought the car stock and very soon got bit by the modding bug and well, the BLUE BEAST or "SLOW TSI" was created.....

I am not going to list my entire mod list, but basically the important stuff: Ported EvoIII 16g/mani/2g o2 housing, SAFC/AEM UEGO/Chipped Eprom ecu, full 3" Buschur TBE, FMIC w/ 2.5" short route piping, 3" intake, 2g maf, 560cc/walbro 190, etc etc etc...

I was out everyday of the spring, summer and fall at the normal spots; Streets, strats, 42nd, Doti Road, etc etc.....My friends and I started quite a few popular meets and made a good number of well-known videos:

Next up for me is the new 1g project...Im about to pick up a 90awd, very similar to my last car but will lack a lot of the clean look and more to the sleeper approach

...Oh, and screw 12's!

That car looked fuckin' *MINT.* Yeah, you might of lost a gorgeous car, which will kill you emotionally, but be glad you as a person walked away from that without a scratch. The engineers apparently knew their shit when making these cars as it looks to have held up pretty damn good.

Good luck in finding yourself another ride! I have a few friends who would go to stevenson, but are in my school because of other reasons (i go to Cyd Lash). You seem to be pretty nearby, I'm out in lindenhurst.. There's a few members within 30 miles of both of us who have cars, maybe we could plan a nice meet-up this summer at gurnee mills or hawthorne mall a couple times!

Eric95se -- Ha, Cyd Lash, yeah I know the place, and people who were transferred there. Well when I finally get done working on the new car, I'll be out all over the place, so yeah we should all meet up sometime

I'll keep everyone updated on the car situation. Stupid blizzard makes it hard to pick up a car today or get my wrecked piece of metal towed out of the driveway

who do you know who goes to cyd lash? i know of this kid cliff and this girl alyssa who go there who i'm friends with that go/went to stevenson.

Everyone always asks and I forget and look it up...Typical me, already forgot again so I'll go look it up and post back....

Thanks for the comment, they were hella fun to make! BTW, the roll-footage in part I is on 83 off 290-E somewhere...The actual races from a dig were $$ races setup at strats which is close by...In part II, its mostly downtown footage and Lower Wacker Drive, the races from a launch were shot off Pulaski Road at those spots (42nd/43rd etc)

heh, I use to live in buffalo grove and just graduated from bghs just last year. I dont remeber ever seeing you around, but maybe you saw me around, I had a black 200sx se-r that was boosted.
