ok, here is ONE. im still working on my technique for shooting nightlife. but here is one of my favorites. more to come as i work on them.
what do you think of this one?

If it was a little brighter I think it would be better. My monitor is super bright and I have a hard time seeing it still

I suck at night life photography. I need to start bringing my camera out, I havent taken it out in so long

I like the look on that second one though!

ok, this is the thing about nightlife..
anyone can take a camera, with a flash, and take photos at a nighclub.
and i dont have the 85mm 1.4 i want.
i like to think outside the box. i want to stand out to be different.

the first shot was two girls dancing, and the night club lights swung by at them and i snapped the photo. wasnt an easy photo to catch.
I printed a test print of both of those photos tonight and they came out great.
keep in mind also, that if i post a photo here, more than likely i have an 11X17print of it. here is an other. i was trying to photo the dj with the club lights swinging at him.. im not convinced, but its all i have right now. hopefully ill do a better job next friday

I hate taking my SLR around to bars and clubs. Im there to get drunk and socialize, not to take professional looking photos and babysitting my equipment

Maybe someday I will take photos and babysit it. I guess I could just bring it in take some pics and go throw it in the trunk, too cold out now to do that though. There are a lot of places I want to bring my camera, I just hate lugging it all around ya know?

Keep taking and practicing, you'll snap some good ones.

i feel the same way. i really wish i could take my SLR with me everywhere. but yeah with flash, and lens, this sucker is to big to have al the time. and its to expensive to just lay anywhere and do what ever.

im actually hired to work this small night club on fridays. Im trying to build my portfolio to get myself a larger account. If i can land a downtown club, ill be set. easy work, easy money, great time, and great networking.

but everyone and thier mother is going after the same thing, so i really want my work to stand out
