| "Not so new" New posts Is there anyway to change what threads I have already read versus ones with new posts? Before the update, once I clicked on a thread with new posts it would not show in the forum index as having recent unread posts. With the updated forum software, entire forums show as having new posts even days after I've read all threads.
Example: Right now, I am being shown that the first 10 or so threads have new posts. I know I went through and read each of those threads during the course of this afternoon and one thread says that it's newest post at 2:30pm is new to me.....nope - I read all of that.
I use the Motorcycle theme, so I know to look for forums with white logos to read the new posts. However, I am forced to go into each forum and look at the date/time of the post to see if I've read it.
I am getting this problem at home and at work where cookies are cleared daily on both machines. |

| I understand what the difference is between bold and regular - what i'm saying is that even 8 hours after I've read a post, they are all still bold to me. I have to look at the time to see if I've read it yet.
I can't take any fancy screenshots here at work, but will try to once I get home. |

| They are already cleared every 24hours as it is. I also know that there was a setting to automatically log off users after a certain period of inactivity. It used to be set to 15 minutes. Would this have anything to do with this issue? |

No - since its only an issue for some and not all - That leads me to believe the problem is on your end.
What skin are you using? |

The point I'm trying to make is that I never had to do that before the upgrade. It is not a huge issue either, I just wasn't sure if this would cause unseen issues elsewhere. |

| Nope - its just an end user thing. Its strange. I can only guess its a cookie issue of some kind. |

| So, should I clear all cookies sooner than 24 hours now? I can set it to clear each time I close Firefox and just be sure to close it after I'm done browsing for a while. |

| Example:
I just posted to this thread and to my thread in General Car Discussion. My cookies and cache were literally cleared just before I responded to this thread. I still see those two sections as having unread posts. I click inside of them and everything is marked read. Click 'Chicago Velocity Forums' link along the top to go out to main forum listing and I still see this screen....... |

| I just did, right after Jackson brought it up. It clears them - Im just confused as to why I now have to do that every time I post something.
Not trying to gripe here, just bringing up what seems to be an odd bug. |

| I have the same problem in red. Happens on both my home and work computers. The new posts that I've already read don't go away until the user logoff limit expires.
