Car Wash Recommendations Thread

Not sure where this belongs, but I'd thought I'd recommend these guys... for $10, there was no wait in line, they pre-spray your wheels beforehand and a team of them wipe off your car with clean rags.. 9/10 times i wash my car myself, but didn't have time today so I took it here to quickly get the salt off the body... my Kathy looks hot now! maybe pics later

good call. lets make this a carwash thread

i recommend Sudsational in downers... $11, pre-spray the whole car plus wheel cleaner that works wonders... then they super soap the whole car and soft-towel wash it. Includes water blade/towel try and compressed air dry for all the door/trunk/etc cutlines and jams.

for $17 they vacuum/clean interior, do all glass, etc.

there is sometimes a line, but they get plenty of cars in and out quickly. Worth the wait for sure.

lol, i'll recommend those citgo's/sonic whatever gas stations.
$6 wash + dry and 10cents a gallon discount on gas.

on principal touchless' should be better for the paint but they don't get all the dirt off

I'll pay an extra $4 for a better wash and not have to wait in an 8 car line anyday... every gas station car wash in my area is backed up at least that far

Sonic was my wash of choice in the south burbs. In the north burbs, TurtleWax

Took it thru the wash at the Shell and OMGHI2U!!!!! It's not completely clean, but the paint actually has some life to it instead of being a dull, flat grey

i have a black car...and its an off gray right now...i have not washed it since before the 1st snowfall cause my locks LOVE to freeze up...even tossing in graphite into the locks or lock de-icer still doesnt help...im waiting for the rain this weekend to get the basic crap off it...then to a real wash after that ...the rain should get rid of most of the salt on it...

if i don't have time to clean my ride, then i'll take it to:

Lankmark
???? Randall Rd,
Elgin, IL

its kind of behind the LoneStar Restraunt. I usually get the "Ultimate" which is $26.95 and they clean and wipe off the dashboard and trims, the side of the doors, shampoo your floor mats/carpet, clean the tires/rims...basically everything. It comes out beautiful. then i usually give the person doing all the work a $10 tip.

i can reccommend boardwalk on golf and rand in des plaines, full hand wash, place is awesome for the winter when i dont' want to wash the car. plus its like super high scale but 10 bucks for a decent wash. Check it out, my dad goes there exclusivly during the winter.
