transfer help

This is a discussion on transfer help within the Cameras, Film and Photography Discussion forum part of the Photography Corner category; ok i have a mini8 tape videocamera i cant get it transfered from the camera to the computer i bought ...

transfer help

ok i have a mini8 tape videocamera i cant get it transfered from the camera to the computer i bought an rca to usb converter and it still clips... what can i do...???

what kind of video card do you have? you may be able to use it to capture

what do you mean "it clips"?

also as far as i know you need firewire to do any kind of analog video transfer...could be wrong

after testing you have to use firewire to transfer video UNLESS for you use for example SONY video transfer software for a sony camera. If you are using windows software on a sony camera you have to use firewire
