| Blackout headlights I'm wondering how to black out the headlights and taillights. I've searched it on 2gnt but i can't really get my answer . Has anyone done it before? I think it would look sick since my car is black. Also does anyone know the law against it? Someone on 2gnt said that a friend of his that is a cop said if a theres another type of light source helping out (fog lights) that they will let you slide. Anyway if it's too complicated..where can i get blacked out headlight and taillights? link would be good.
Oh and one other question: What exactly is blacked out? the headlight cover? or the silver part inside?
Thanks guys

| Blacked out can mean many things. For the headlights, you could black out the chrome trim and make them look black, or you can get some sort of headlight covers (for most cars, anyway) that would be a smoked plastic cover for the whole headlight unit. For the tails, they may also make a cover for it, or you can use night shades taillight tint. I've got the stuff on my car, and you can't tell it's there when the lights are on.

| You mean like from this....
To this....
Or are you talking about using nightshade to tint the entire lense? If you're talking about making the whole thing black, save yourself the trouble (and legal hassle) and get the GTO brand or whatever black covers that go over the headlight/taillight.
(No the car is not a different color. Clean and a fresh wax + summer light in the first pic vs dirty and winter time in the second two.) |

| Since you have a 2gb, your housing is black, so I'm guessing you want the outsides smoked?
you can either find some transparent film or you can get a spray like this http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthre...ked+headlights
dont do the tailights tho plz |
