Your bass would probably eat my shrimps, no? Anyways, I took the 10 gallon down because I moved into my own dorm at school, so now I have a 1.5 gal with only my betta and a few shrimps. They like their new tank.

Here's a photo of my new shrimps I exchanged for my old ones. These are called Red Cherry Shrimps. They're so cute. And sooo small. This photo is pretty clear, considering the shrimps are not any larger then 1/4 ".

Right after I moved from the 10 to the 1.5 gallon. If you look closely, you can see the little red cherry shrimp in the front of the moss at the bottom of the tank.

there's 2 places I have gotten them from:

1) Ebay (the first batch got eaten by my betta)
2) petshrimp.net then click on store (these guys are really high quality ones, my betta doesn't care about them anymore, he leaves these guys alone for the most part.

nah... The snails I kept (pomacea bridgesii) don't eat plants unless you starve them. I gave all of em away though (had close to 30) so I could keep my betta and shrimps with me at school in my little 2.5 g tank. Thanks. I like my plants and the 'natural' riverbed look with the brown pebbles.
