Gingerman 8/4-5 Chicago PCA

Anyone going to be there for this event? I'm gonna run just on Saturday. My first time at Gingerman without any previous instruction there was....interesting. Running with a well sorted E46 M3 and a heavily modded C6 Z06 didn't help either since I couldn't follow anyone to get an idea of the proper line. It seems like a fun track though, and some of the corners are plenty challenging. The double apex corner (maybe turn 5?) reminds me a lot of a similar corner at Roebling Road (near Savannah, GA). I'm hoping a day of instruction will leave me competent enough to do some open lapping days there without incident (black flagged twice and spun out twice last time

i went twice this year

shifting different and trying new line on 5-6 in the second video. also 2 other people in the car... i think the new line and gears i run things in will be good to get me to 1:42 maybe 1:41's with practice... c&d sti got a 1:39.5 without changing the diff bias. i put it all in the rear and have better pads and stage 1 software but i need a lot more seat time still !

Chrisco- It's $175 a day for PCA non-members. Steep, but I want some instruction there, so I'll pony up this one time. Were you at a CLC autoX last year? I remember there was a GVR4 there that locked his keys in the trunk or something like that, haha. Not too many of those cars around so I figure it may be you?

Sickmint- Are you keeping the STi? I saw it listed for sale. I don't know if you remember me, but I met you at that CLC autoX last year- I had the green 240. Now I have a white one with no sunroof and ABS

I'll try to get some rough lap times when I go. I was boosted but its back to stock for now so it'll probably be slowww. G-man isn't much of a power track though, so hopefully it won't be too embarassing. If I get my cage in there in time and find a camera to borrow, I'll try to put up some vids as well.

fyi the bmw gingerman school is great, it's 325 for 2-days. i'm not aggressively selling the sti but currently it is on the market !
