...because I would tell every lobbyist to go fuck themselves and I would surround myself with people who are diametrically opposed to my way of thinking. That would make every decision go through critical thought and if 2 otherwise disagreeing points of view can agree and compromise, then the conclusion probably is about as good as it gets.
Yes-men / aka cocksuckers / aka brown nosers are in it because they think they'll get some sort of favoritism later one. That has no place in the world arena anymore. Too much at stake now... |

| lobbyists don't bother to visit paul, and he sends checks back to whoever sends them to him. i thin the only group he takes any money from is some home schooling group and it's a ridiculous small amount of money, like a few k.
ron paul because he is one of the few that actually seems to examine the cause of a problem before trying to propose a solution. ron paul because he has a record like no one ever has held in congress and may hold again. ron paul because he argues with logic and historical precedent rather than appealing to emotion and fear. ron paul because he's the only one that seems to understand the fiscal changes going on now and ron paul because he makes sense on all the issues i find important, and most of the ones that i don't. |

| Tancredo. He's super conservative, believes in sending back all the illegal mexicans, believes in stopping all immigration. His quote was, "We can allow immigration again once we no longer have to press 2 for English." He believes that if we are attacked by terrorists that holy sites can be conisdered targets when we retalliate and he doesn't see anything wrong with retaliating with nukes. I LIKE THIS GUY!
BTW, Obama? What exactly does he stand for? The only thing I ever hear him say is, "If I was president, I would have done this, or I wouldn't have done that." Well you weren't president, but you may be one, so how about you tell us what you are going to do, not what you would have done. Everybody loves playing Monday morning quarterback Barack Hussein Obama.

| turk, that guy is nuts. nukes and attacking holy sites? if you want to turn al qaeada from 2,000 guys into 200,000 guys then nuking mecca is a good move. of course i'm sure that would make 2,000,000 actually.
Obama proposes forced national service
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Under the plan, middle and high school students would perform 50 hours of service a year.
In addition, Obama proposed a tax credit of $4,000 to help make college affordable but to receive the credit, the student would be required to clock at least 100 hours of service a year.
The ideas are part of a wider-range plan that would include quadrupling AmeriCorp and doubling Peace Corps volunteers, which Obama said is essential in helping the nation meet goals and restore the nation?s worldly standing as a leader.
?Your own story and the American story are not separate; they are shared,? Obama told a crowd of about 900 people, mostly students. ?And they will both be enriched if we stand up together, and answer a new call to service to meet the challenges of our new century.?
The crowd gave Obama enthusiastic applause. Sean Ransick, a junior at Cornell, said the plan makes sense.
?I think it?s a great idea. I think it?s very innovative,? Ransick. ?I haven?t heard anything like it before. It was tough for me to get to college financially. That would have been an option and I certainly would have taken it.?
Obama, a U.S. senator from Illinois, said the plan would also seek to create a national online network to connect volunteers with service organizations. It would also create a ?Social Entrepreneurship Agency? to help nonprofits improved collaborations with government.
His campaign staff didn?t immediately respond to questions about how much the plan would cost.
?The non-profit sector employs one in 12 Americans and 115 nonprofits are launched every day,? Obama said. ?Yet while the federal government invests $7 billion in research and development for the private sector, there is no similar effort to support non-profit innovation.?

| Who are you kidding? 1 billion muslims already hate us, you're in denial if you think we can change the way they think by sending them food and aide. What happened to this country??? This is America, if we get hit, we hit back, HARDER. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor so we killed millions of Germans, and nuked 2 Japanese cities. It worked then, it will work now.

| dude, that is completely ignorant. did you know iran was one of, if not the, most sympathetic country to us after 9/11? there are some muslims that hate us - so what. we have Christian fundamentalists too, look at that church saying death to fags and soldiers. and we have backyard hicks saying hey der let's nuke dem sand ******s and turn the middle east into glass. there are idiots everyone. they generally don't get much done because there is nothing rallying them together to make them an actual force. us fucking with them now is rallying more people against us though.
bombing mecca?? this would go down as the stupidest thing ever done in history, period. it's so absurd that i can't believe someone running for president even said it. and iraq didn't hit us, al qaeda did. the "war on terror" has let osama go uncaught, increased the size of al qaeda greatly, cost us many lives and many dollars that we don't even have. the whole situation is fucking ridiculous. |

| Gotta love the logic..
It was so wrong for Islamic Fundamentalists to kill 3,000 innocent civilians but it's somehow justified to kill tens of thousands of innocent civilians in a country that didn't have anything to do with it. |

It was so wrong to bomb Pearl Harbor, which occurred on this day remind you, but so right to nuke two cities and kill approx. 200,000 innocent Japanese. More people died on Sept. 11th than on December 7th. More people, approx 100,000, died in Dresden Germany. Germany never attacked Pearl Harbor, but boy did we ever fuck them up. If they dont hate us already, then why do we have to go into these countries and take care of the terrorists?!?!?! THE FBI does not allow rogue hick militias to run in this country, why do the arab states??? All I'm saying is, if they didn't all hate us, then why don't they do something to stop the terrorists in their own back yards!!!

As for them 'not doing anything'.. they try, but they are limited in their effectiveness. We still have people advocating killings of innocent people running around free in this country. Sometimes (most of the time) they are all fluff and bullshit driven by simple ignorance and fear. Other times they'll hit the motherlode (OK city, for example). Why haven't we stopped every single one before? It's a fair turn around of the question and ultra high standard you want to hold other countries to... Have we ever prosecuted any citizen for any terrorist action they performed while in another country who's a known antagonist of the US? Please, start posting names because in order to have such a high standard we should be meeting that standard. BTW, there are many people in jail in Saudi Arabia and Egypt who are 'known terrorists' yet are their citizens... So, it does happen there. Who've we been rounding up over the past 50 years since the birth of neo conservatism and islamic fundamentalism? |

| i have a (korean) pothead friend, i told him paul wanted to end the war on drugs but he's voting for obama "because he's a minority"
some chick i'm friends with on myspace has 2 ayn rand books as her favorites (fountainhead, atlas shrugged) so i figured she'd be all over ron paul too. but she's voting for hillary "to support her fellow woman"
i hate having to vote with people like this, God forbid you actually compare people on issues. |
