EU does not have crazy growth. their welfare state/socialistic programs are catching up to them. they have high unemployment as well. before, america had reasons why likely to come out on top; they are shrinking now. i think far too many people take for granted the past prosperity and stability of the US. i expect us to be going through some major changes over the next 10 years!

It will be sooner than 10 years... but they will be long uncomfortable changes if we don't get our act together.

i wasn't sayin the EU has a lot of growth. but they are stable and even the middle east is using and respecting their money more than dollars for the first time ever. i've heard things about people wanting to make euros the standard

that's because dollars are going to shit. it's probably not good to have anything standard because too much depends on it then, like right now with us dollars. but right now if you've got usd depreciating at 5% and euros depreciating at 2%, of course you'd rather be holding onto the euros. or if you're a country's central bank, maybe you'd like to hold onto gold, depreciating at 0%.

they have strands without thc now, and that is a great crop anyway - easy to grow and many uses (fiber, paper, clothes, ethanol) - we should really lift our ban on that shit.

I have a native American friend. When the EU switched to the Euro he sensed a change in world economics. He started exchanging 100 Euro every month and put that into a cup. He made a good deal .

For me the $ course is very good for traveling to the States. I have just been at Chilis and ate for 9 $, which is 5.5 Euro. For that you can not even get a Big Mac meal in Germany.... Afterwards I went to mervins(spelled correct?) and bought 2 Levis for in total 60 $. That is around 40 Euro, for that you can not even get a single one in Germany.

Nonetheless, the low $ course is really bad for our economy too. Goods are sold in us $ and then salaries have to be paid in Europe. For Airbus that is a loss of millions every year.
