i signed up to be a precinct leader for ron paul today. at minimum it's leaving slimjims in doors around your neighborhood, more committment involves canvassing or calls.
the super cool thing is that i have a list of all the registered voters in my neighborhood, and all this information about them! it's really quite fascinating to me, as a data guy.
there is a number from 0 to 100, 0 meaning super liberal and 100 meaning super conservative. i always expected my neighbor to be a big dem - she actually registers as a 1. only one on my list haha. there's also some letters, you could have a blank, or a lower case t, or a capital T. this is how much someone dislikes taxes. same with l L for pro-life and g G for pro-gun rights. there's also a spot for exclamation points for a ! person with influence or !!! person with a lot of influence. pretty neat having this list.
