Sports Cars With Lowest Fuel Costs.

There has been a recent article posted on one of the major automotive websites that highlights the sports cars that get the best “bang for your buck” when it comes to fuel costs.
Taking the top two positions were Audi’s TT Coupe and TT Roadster. The TT Coupe got 26 MPG and the TT Roadster got 25 MPG. According to officials, the rankings were based on the EPA’s annual fuel cost ratings. These figures are based on the current national average gas price. Also, the report assumes 15,000 miles driven annually, with 55% city driving and 45% highway. Below is the official top ten list:
1. AUDI TT COUPE: 26 MPG
2. AUDI TT ROADSTER: 25 MPG
3. LOTUS ELISE/EXIGE: 23 MPG
4. MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE COUPE: 23 MPG
5. HYUNDAI TIBURON: 23 MPG
6. AUDI A4 CABRIOLET: 24 MPG
7. MAZDA MX-5 MIATA: 24 MPG
8. MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE SPYDER: 22MPG
9. PORSHE BOXSTER: 23 MPG
10. PORSHE CAYMAN: 23 MPG

Hey,

yep and thanks for the info. I am interested in buying the 3.2 quattro TT coupe. The 3.2 version is not really efficient.

Try to get a Diesel engine for good mileage.

Oh looks very sweet. Nope, never noticed any...

We don't have any Buicks, GMCs or Chevys driving around. F150s, F250s and F350s are common here but I have never seen one in Germany. I guess it's the same here with German cars. The prices here are really high. Very few Audis I noticed.

Completely missed the Cooper S. I was getting 30 mpg and that was with maybe 25% highway driving.

I actually just sold it this week. It was fun I suppose, but not fast enough for me. I still haven't found that one car that I really like.

Hehe. But aren't there speedlimits everywhere in the USA? Some US rappers ship their car to Germany to test the car's max speed.

I suppose I should have clarified, it's top speed is fine and I usually have no desire to go much faster then 90 mph. But I want more acceleration and a car that does faster 1/4 mile times.
