My 2000 Mercury Marquis is having a problem. It jerks or hesitates when accelerated. I had a new fuel filter put on but that was not the problem. I had a transmission mechanic drive it because I thought it was when it shufted or the overdrive kicked in. He says it is not the trans, He believes it is a computer sensor that is the problem. The engine light does not come on. And it does it at 30-45 but also at 60-70 Do you have a clue and is it an expensive solution? Also I had a new key made lately, could programing the chip have caused it?
Have the fuel pressure regulator checked, that might be your problem!
