8 die in I-90 bus crash

A chain-reaction crash involving three trucks and a tour bus killed eight people Wednesday on the Northwest Tollway near Marengo.

heard about that. sad, but you cannot cut off semis either. all the driver that come in and out of my place say that if they cannot stop in time, they will keep on going straight and hope for the best.

i just heard about it, they said that no one could identify who the people are, they are all mangled (not being gross here, but you have to say what's out there).

Stuff happens, you never know what surprises you out there...

my dad works in rockford and drives there from bartlett everyday (50 minutes)and he said he would have been at that exact spot if he had not left an hour early because he had a pain in his toe, apaently they said the exact time the crash happened. well i feel lucky none the less, and blessed.......

That happened like 10 minutes away from my house. There have been alot of deadly car accidents on 90 between elgin and rockford this year

somoene told me that bus drivers and truck drivers are taught not do swerve. B/c their vehicles are so big, they are more likely to lose control and cause even MORE damage if they swerve.

I remember a few years ago when some school bus crashed b/c the driver swerved and ended up killing some kids in the bus. Makes me sad... that guy shouldn't have swerved and ended up hurting lots of innocent kids instead of just one stupid driver...
